Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı participated in the Meeting of Working Group on Relations with Turkey of the European Committee of the Regions
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı participated in the Meeting of Working Group on Relations with Turkey of the European Committee of the Regions held online on 16 December 2020.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı stressed that the EU membership was strategically crucial for Turkey and stability in Turkey-EU relations would highly contribute to the stability and welfare in Turkey’s wider neighbourhood. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Kaymakcı also touched upon the impact of the dialogue between Turkish and EU local authorities and expressed that deeper relations were expected to be established between Turkey and the European Committee of the Regions in the future.
