''The European Week of Sport'' kicks off simultaneously in the 81 provinces of Türkiye
The European Week of Sport activities themed “National Sports and Wellness Days for All”, which were held under the auspices of the Youth and Sports Ministry and Directorate for EU Affairs with coordination of Turkish Sports for All Federation, kicked off simultaneously in 81 provinces of Türkiye. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı attended the opening ceremony held on 23 September 2021 at the Anıttepe Sports Complex in Ankara.
The European Week of Sport is celebrated across Europe annually between 23-30 September with the slogan "Be active".
