The Directorate for EU Affairs Race for Europe Day Cup held at the Ankara 75th Year Racetrack

The Directorate for EU Affairs Race for Europe Day Cup, which was organized for the 11th time this year as part of the 9 May Europe Day celebrations, held at the 75th Year Ankara Racetrack on 15 May 2021. The race, which became a traditional event of 9 May Europe Day celebrations in Türkiye, was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs and the Jockey Club of Türkiye.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı stated that, the Directorate for EU Affairs Race for Europe Day Cup emphasized Türkiye’s determination and excitement in the EU membership process and congratulated Ayşe Başaran, owner of the winning filly and Gökhan Kocakaya, the jockey.
