Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı Paid a Visit to Sofia
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı paid a visit to Sofia on 23 July 2019.
Within the scope of his visit in Sofia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Kaymakcı first met with Dzhema Grozdonova, Chairperson of Foreign Affairs Committee of Bulgarian National Assembly. At the meeting, Türkiye-Bulgaria bilateral relations, Türkiye’s EU accession process, issues related to the EU, as well as a range of regional and international issues in the common agenda of both countries were evaluated.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also came together with Denitsa Nikolova, Bulgarian Regional Development Deputy Minister and attended the contract awarding ceremony of the projects which will be implemented within the framework of Bulgaria-Türkiye Cross–Border Cooperation Programme.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Kaymakcı attended an informatory meeting on Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, Türkiye-EU Civil Society Dialogue Programmes and Erasmus+ Programme which was organized by Turkish Embassy towards representatives of civil society organizations in Türkiye and Bulgaria.
During his visit to Sofia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs lastly came together with Mustafa Hacı Aliş, the Chief Mufti of the Bulgarian Muslims.
