Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı met with Secretary General of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye Dr. Hayri Baraçlı on 1 November 2022 at the Directorate for EU Affairs.
During the meeting where opportunities for local governments and cooperation areas were discussed, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı stated that, the contributions and roles of local governments were of decisive importance in Türkiye's EU membership process.
