PROJECT SUMMARY |

Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The primary objective of the project is to harmonize Türkiye's regulations on biocidal products with the EU Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR), ensuring the reduction of risks posed by biocidal products to human health, animal health, and the environment. This includes capacity building and raising awareness among stakeholders. |

Achievements / expected outputs / results |
Preparation of draft legislation aligned with the EU Biocidal Products Regulation (528/2012/EU). Improved technical capacity of the Ministry of Health, provincial directorates and relevant laboratories for the evaluation and management of biocidal products. Increased awareness among stakeholders, including governmental institutions and NGOs about the legal obligations and safe use of biocidal products. Development of guidance documents, organization of workshops and training activities, and conducting study visits to enhance regulatory enforcement and stakeholder engagement. |
