Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The primary objective of the project is to enhance the institutional capacity for monitoring practices related to ambient air quality and the marine environment in Türkiye. This includes improving air quality measurement systems and developing capacity for online marine data monitoring and reporting in compliance with EU directives. |

Achievements / expected outputs / results |
Improved institutional capacity in air quality monitoring systems, including the preparation of technical guidelines, accreditation documents, and training for compliance with the EU Clean Air for Europe (CAFE) Directive. Upgraded calibration laboratories with necessary equipment to meet the requirements of the CAFE Directive. Strengthened capacity for online marine monitoring, data assessment, and reporting aligned with the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) and regional agreements. Enhanced administrative capacity through the development of guidance documents, organization of trainings, and study visits. |
