Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The primary objective of the project is to establish an ecoregion-based ecological assessment system for water quality in Türkiye. This aims to ensure that surface water bodies achieve a good ecological and chemical status.

Definition of hydromorphological indices and type-specific class boundary values for Türkiye.

Establishment of type-specific reference conditions, reference monitoring networks, and monitoring programs.
