The primary objective of the project is to develop a strategy for managing construction and demolition waste (CDW) in Türkiye, aligning it with the principles of the EU Circular Economy Package. This includes improving policy frameworks, enhancing local implementation, and promoting awareness. |

Achievements / expected outputs / results |
Outputs: Development of a comprehensive CDW management strategy and policy recommendations. Implementation of pilot projects in 12 selected areas to demonstrate effective CDW management. Organization of training sessions, workshops, and awareness-raising campaigns. Preparation of a policy recommendation paper for future interventions on CDW management.
Results: Improved management of CDW at the local level. Enhanced awareness and capacity among stakeholders to handle CDW sustainably. Alignment of Türkiye’s CDW practices with EU circular economy principles. Increased efficiency in resource use and reduced environmental impact of CDW. |
