PROJECT SUMMARY

Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The project aims to increase the capacity of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in migration and international protection and Provincial Directorates of Migration Management. It also aims to include NGOs in the decision-making mechanisms and improve the existing cooperation of NGOs with public institutions and EU-origin NGOs.

Türkiye (pilot provinces: Ankara, Izmir, Istanbul, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Hatay)

Achievements / expected outputs

Within the project's scope, two main objectives are aimed to be realised: facilitating networking and collaboration through capacity building. One of the project's essential outcomes is the mapping of NGOs working in migration and international protection.

Another significant output is the research of funding mechanisms for NGOs to ensure NGOs' sustainability and independence.

Also, preparation of training materials and training of NGOs and the identification of methods for cooperation with NGOs are important outputs of the project.
