The Signing Ceremony of “Maritime Decarbonisation and Green Shipping Programme for Türkiye” was held

The signing ceremony of “Maritime Decarbonisation and Green Shipping Programme for Türkiye” financed under the 2021 programming year of Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) 2021-2027 period was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Head of the EU Delegation to Türkiye Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut and EBRD Head of Infrastructure for Türkiye, Middle East and Africa Sue Barrett on June 19, 2023 in Ankara. 

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister Ambassador Bozay emphasized that the transport sector plays a key role in Türkiye’s decarbonisation agenda and this programme will contribute significantly to reducing emissions in maritime sector.
