Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay participated in “The Monitoring and Steering Committee of Erasmus+ and ESC”

The second meeting of the Monitoring and Steering Committee of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programmes was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay at the Turkish National Agency on 31 October 2023.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay emphasized that Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes significantly contribute to the process of harmonization with the EU’s education, youth and sport policies.

He emphasized that through the EU programmes carried out by the Turkish National Agency with success and dedication for 20 years, a total of 1.6 billion euros of grant support has been provided to more than 38 thousand projects, more than 630 thousand participants have benefited from the programmes, and the great interest shown by our country in EU education and youth programmess is satisfying.

Erasmus+ and ESC Programmes Monitoring and Steering Committee is a consultation platform established with the participation of relevant Ministries and institutions to coordinate, monitor and evaluate programmes with our country policies in the fields of education, youth, sports, volunteering and solidarity in order to ensure the effective implementation of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs in Türkiye.
