Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır Paid an Official Visit to Slovenia
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır paid a visit to Ljubljana, Slovenia on 29-31 March 2016 for official contacts.


During his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır was received by Borut Pahor, President of the Republic of Slovenia, Miro Cerar, Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, and Milan Brglez, President of the Slovenian National Assembly.



In Ljubljana, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Bozkır met with Karl Erjavec, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia at a working luncheon. Following the working luncheon, two Ministers held a joint press conference.


Minister Bozkır also met with Ambassador Dragoljuba Bencina, Secretary of State in charge of the EU and with the chairs and members of the Committee on EU Affairs and Committee on Foreign Policy of the Slovenian National Assembly.


In Ljubljana, giving an interview to Slovenian Press Agency (STA), Minister Bozkır also joined the broadcasts of TRT and Anadolu Agency.
During Minister Bozkır’s visit to Ljubljana, bilateral relations, progress in Türkiye's EU accession negotiations, migration management, visa liberalisation and fight against terrorism were discussed with Slovenian counterparts.
