Directorate for EU Affairs Director General for Relations with the EU Elif Kurşunlu attended online symposium with Manisa Celal Bayar University

Directorate for EU Affairs Director General for Relations with the EU Elif Kurşunlu delivered an opening speech at "Multidisciplinary Perspective on the Health of Individuals with Special Needs in the European Union Process: We Are Aware of Differences" symposium organized by Manisa Celal Bayar University, online, on May 24, 2023.

Meeting with students, academics and representatives of CSOs at the event, Director General Kurşunlu stated that there are nearly 2.5 million disabled citizens in Türkiye, and emphasized that disabled citizens are active in every field from sports to culture and arts, from education to business life.

Director General for Relations with the EU Elif Kurşunlu underlined that with the progress of Türkiye’s EU membership process, the opportunities provided by Türkiye for disabled individuals will become stronger.
