An information meeting for the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, for which our Directorate acts as the National Authority, was held online on 10 April 2023 in cooperation with the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye. Addressing the representatives from municipalities in 25 provinces in Turkish Program area with an opening speech, Mr. Bülent ÖZCAN, Director General of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation, emphasized the importance of local athorities’ support to get maximum benefit from the funds allocated under this Programme, which also overlaps with the development priorities of our country.

In the event, experts from Cross-border Cooperation Department of our Directorate informed the participants regarding Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme as well as key aspects and application process of the first call for proposals, launched on 30 March 2023, under this Programme.

Continued with the experience sharing session following the presentation of “CREA CENTERS” project, which was implemented by Çekmeköy Municipality under 2014-2020 period of the Black Sea Basin CBC Programme, the event ended with Questions and Answers session.
