Negotiations on the association of Türkiye to the InvestEU Programme has started

A meeting on the association of Türkiye to the InvestEU Programme was held online on 8^th July 2021.  Delegations from the EU Commission, Directorate General of Economic and Financial Affairs under the chairmanship of Mr. Giorgio CHIARION CASONI, Director, InvestEU and financial institutions and Delegations of Republic Türkiye which consist of experts from the Ministry of Industry and Technology under the chairmanship of Mr. Mustafa Erdoğan, Director-General of EU and External Affairs as the coordinator institutions of that programme and the delegation from the Directorate for EU Affairs under the chairmanship of Mr. Bülent ÖZCAN, Director-General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation, which coordinate all EU programmes, participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, an overview of the InvestEU Programme, third-country association to the InvestEU Fund and tentative timeline for next steps in the association process was explained by the representatives of DG EFCIN. The meeting closed with the questions and answer session.
