Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı paid official visits in Brussels

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı paid an official visits to Brussels, where he attended the International Donors’ Conference for Albania between 17-19 February 2020.

Within the framework of his Brussels visit, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı met with high level European Commission officials including European Commission Vice-President Margaritis Schinas, Commissioner for Neighbourly Relations and Enlargement Negotiations Olivér Várhelyi and Deputy Director-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Maciej Popowski.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also met with European Parliament officials including Foreign Affairs Committee Chair David McAllister, EP Co-Chair of Türkiye-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee Ryszard Czarnecki, EP Türkiye Rapporteur Nacho Sanchez Amor, Co-Chair of Türkiye-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee Sergey Lagodinsky.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı met with Director General for bilateral affairs at Belgian Foreign Affairs Ambassador Anick Van Calster, Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Martin Tlapa, Hungarian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Levente Magyar and State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Cornel Feruta.

Within the scope of his programme Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also with representatives of non-governmental organizations and Turkish and foreign press members living in Brussels.
