Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay participated in the Informal Meeting of EU Ministers for European Affairs in Copenhagen on 1-2 September 2025, organised by the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Deputy Minister Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay highlighted the importance of fairness in the enlargement process in his speech at the session on ‘Copenhagen Criteria and the Gradual Integration’.
He also addressed possible incentives that can be provided within the scope of EU reforms and pre-accession integration opportunities, emphasizing the necessity of active participation of Türkiye and other candidate countries in the process and conveying Türkiye’s expectations.
