The opening ceremony of the “Improving the Effectiveness of Family Courts: Better Protection of the Rights of Family Members” Project was held
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı participated in the opening ceremony of the “Improving the Effectiveness of Family Courts: Better Protection of the Rights of Family Members” project financed under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) 2016 programme. In his speech, Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı emphasized the importance of project’s contribution to the justice system and protection of the rights of the family members.
The Project aims to ensure better functioning of the family courts and enhance capacities of judges, public prosecutors and experts on family law issues. With a total budget of 2,2 million EUR and a duration of 33 months, the Project will be implemented by the Council of Europe together with the Justice Academy of Turkey.
