Happy International Translation Day!
In 2017, the United Nations officially declared 30 September (already celebrated by the International Federation of Translators since 1953) as the International Translation Day. On this occasion, the role of professional translators in bringing nations closer and promoting peace, understanding and development is underlined.
An indispensable component for international communication and allowing different nations to understand each other by overcoming the language barrier, translation is an essential element of international politics, commerce, economy and technology. It cannot be ignored that the translation profession, which aims at bringing nations closer, conveying the knowledge, feelings and ideas among various nations is of vital importance.
Happy International Translation Day for our esteemed translators acting as a bridge between remote cultures and territories as well as different people and ideas!
