Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik’s visit to Brussels
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will be visiting Brussels on 29-30 November to meet with European Commissioners and to attend Türkiye-EU civil society meetings to be organized by Ministry for EU Affairs.
In Brussels, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will meet with First Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopulos, European Commissioner for Security Union Sir Julian King and European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Canete.
Recent developments in Türkiye-EU relations, fight against terrorism, visa liberalization process, migration crisis, dialogue and cooperation with the EU in the fields of global climate regime and energy will be on the agenda of Minister Çelik’s meetings with European Commissioners in Brussels.
In Brussels, Minister Ömer Çelik will attend the opening of three separate Türkiye-EU civil society meetings with the participation of representatives of academia, media and business world from Türkiye and Belgium.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will also participate and speak on education of refugee children at the “Education in Emergencies Forum” to be organized by the European Commission in Brussels.
