Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu Met With Jean Monnet Scholars in Brussels
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with 60 Jean Monnet scholars who are currently pursuing their academic studies at various prominent universities in different EU member countries on 9th April 2014 at a dinner in Brussels.
Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme is funded by the EU and implemented by the Ministry for EU Affairs. The dinner is organized within the context of the third Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme Monitoring and Study Visit. The visit aims at facilitating the scholars to follow the reflections of the recent developments in the Türkiye’s EU accession process at the heart of the EU and also explain the developments in Türkiye to the European counterparts.
Within the scope of the Monitoring and Study Visit, the 2013-2014 scholars will meet with several representatives from the Turkish NGOs and officials from the European Commission, and pay a visit to the Council of the European Union. Besides, the scholars will also seize the opportunity to participate in a session of the 74th Türkiye-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee.
