Faruk Kaymakcı, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs will see the participants of the “Step Up For Europe” event off to Europe on 29 March 2019 with the message “Turkey is where Europe starts”.
The farewell ceremony of the “Step Up For Europe” event supported by the Directorate for EU Affairs within the scope of the EU Communication Strategy and organized by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) will take place at the Directorate for EU Affairs on 29 March 2019 at 15.30 with the participation of Faruk Kaymakcı, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs.
The “Step Up for Europe” event, which will take place between 29 March and 15 April 2019, will start to travel from Ankara with a vehicle full of young people. They will participate in events to be held in Sofia (Bulgaria), Belgrade (Serbia), Timisoara (Romania), Budapest (Hungary), Beli Manastir (Croatia), Graz (Austria), Munich (Germany), Strasbourg (France), Brussels (Belgium) and in the "Democracy Alive Festival” in Texel (the Netherlands), and the route of the event will finally be completed in Iceland. The JCI, which will organize events in the cities on the route, will invite young people to vote in the European Parliament elections for their active participation in democratic processes.
