Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik attended the opening ceremony of the Adana Branch of Türk Eximbank along with Minister for Economy Nihat Zeybekci.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik indicated that it was fortunate that the Minister for Economy Nihat Zeybekci was in Adana. Minister for EU Affairs, who recommended that this meeting with businessman should be well utilized, said:
“The President, Prime Minister and the Ministers of the government of the Turkish Republic address matters such as the enhancement of bilateral relations and security. This is the period in which matters are also addressed as state matters should one of our businessmen have debts to collect or a contract to conclude or a problem with any business that he is conducting.”
Minister Çelik indicated that there was a specific perception of free trade and said: “We have to consider this carefully. Peace in the world also suffers when free trade is curtailed. We are proud to say that Turkish businessmen act in all parts of the world to serve the growth of the Turkish economy and are voluntary ambassadors who are appreciated everywhere.”
