European Policy Centre (EPC) Organized a Briefing With Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı
European Policy Centre (EPC) organized a briefing entitled “How to overcome the current crisis in Turkey-EU relations” on 16 September 2020 with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı.
During the online briefing, Turkey-EU relations, EU solidarity and unanimity issue, accession negotiations, migration, update of Customs Union and developments in the East Mediterranean, Syria and Libya were discussed in detail.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı stated that Turkey, being a candidate country, expects fairness and stronger cooperation from the EU. Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı also said “I am a strong believer that the enlarged Union with Turkey on board, can better respond to regional and international challenges and become a global actor to the benefits of all”.
