EU Experts, Diplomats and Private Sector Leaders of the Future Will Meet at EUROSIMA 2019
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı will attend the opening ceremony of 15th “EUROsimA 2019 Conference” on 20 April 2019 at 10:00 am at METU (Middle East Technical University). During the conference, about 350 students will participate in the discussions on key issues for Europe.
“EUROsimA 2019 Conference”, which is supported within the framework of Türkiye's European Union Communication Strategy (EUCS) and 9 May Europe Day, will be held by METU Foreign Policy and International Relations Club (FPIRC) between 18-23 April 2019. The participants who will study on the culture of consensus will have the opportunity to put into practice the information they have gained about the institutions of the European Union.
During the conference, students from various universities will perform simulations of European Union Council, European Parliament, European Commission, Foreign Relations Council, General Affairs Council, Justice and Home Affairs Council, Futuristic European Commission and Historical Crisis Committee.
The topics to be discussed will cover “EU Enlargement Policy”, “Reconsidering European Union and NATO Relations in the New International Security Environment”, “Euroscepticism: To Review Concerns on the EU”, “Cyber-security in the EU and Protection of Personal Data”, “The EU Leadership in the Protection of the Iranian Nuclear Agreement and the Iranian-EU Trade Relations”, “Increasing the Collaboration between the Members against Organized Crime related to Drugs” and “Reassessing the EU Integration”.
