Covering local and regional organizations in the eligible area and relevant national institutions, the national consultation process on programming of 2021-2027 Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin CBC Programme, in which Directorate of EU Affairs is the National Authority, has been going on. As a part of this process, the National Working Group was set up in order to consult the objectives and priorities of the future programme with relevant institutions in Turkey.
In this regard, an online consultation meeting was held on 10 February 2021 with the participation of 60 representatives from the relevant national institutions, namely Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Union of Provinces, Union of Municipalities of Turkey, TUBITAK Marmara Research Center, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and local and regional organizations as regional development agencies, governorates, municipalities, universities, chambers and NGOs in the Programme area as well as representatives from our Directorate, the Managing Authority of the Programme and TESIM.
While the participants were informed on Black Sea Basin 2021-2027 programming process, Territorial Analysis and Policy, Interreg and specific objectives relevant to receive support, they also expressed their comments about more relevant objectives and priorities for the eligible area in Turkey.
The policy areas of the Programme for 2021-2027 period will be identified following the completion of the consultation process in all participating countries.
