Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı attended the 12th Europe Day Cup Race and the 16th Europa-Orient / East-West Friendship and Peace Rally Ankara Farewell Ceremony
Under the auspices of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, two separate events demonstrating the unifying power of sports were held on 14 May 2022, at the Ankara 75th Anniversary Racecourse within the scope of the 9 May Europe Day celebrations. Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı, participated in the 12th Europe Day Cup Race award ceremony, then bid farewell to the 16th Europa-Orient / East-West Friendship and Peace Rally at the Hippodrome.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, who hosted two separate events, was accompanied by Ambassadors of EU Countries, East-West Friendship and Peace Rally Association President Nadir Serin, Europa-Orient Wilfred Gehr, President of the Rallye Association, nearly 80 amateur rally drivers and race fans from various European countries and our country, as well as Head of EU Delegation to Türkiye Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut in the events.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı said that they were pleased to organize the Europe Day Cup Race and the Europa-Orient / East-West Friendship and Peace Rally in Ankara, which are already now traditionalized events of the 9 May Europe Day celebrations in our country.
