Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı attended the Erasmus+ 35th Anniversary Event Centralisedised Project Calls and Opportunities for Türkiye Workshop

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı attended the Erasmus+ 35th Anniversary Event ‘Centralisedised Project Calls and Opportunities for Türkiye Workshop, hosted by the Directorate for EU Affairs, with the contributions of the Turkish National Agency.

Erasmus+ 35th Anniversary Event ‘Centralisedised Project Calls and Opportunities for Türkiye Workshop’ was held as a hybrid event on 1 April 2022, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Director of the Turkish National Agency İlker Astarcı and Head of the European Union Delegation to Türkiye Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı underlined that Türkiye had been successfully implementing the Erasmus+ Programme since 2003, by emphasizing the importance of Erasmus+ in following international approaches in education  stated that in the new period, he expects higher number of Turkish institutions and organizations working in the fields of education, training and to apply to the centralised Erasmus+ projects which have  larger budget.

In  the workshop, which brought public institutions, universities, professional business organizations and NGOs together, it was aimed to support the performance of Türkiye in Erasmus+ centralised projects by raising information and awareness about Erasmus+ Programme centralisedised projects and increasing the capacities of institutions/organizations. Representatives of the Turkish National Agency informed participants about the centralised project calls of the Erasmus+ Programme. During different panels spread throughout the day panelists who are the representatives of the organizations that had project experience within the scope of the centralised calls shared the achievements, outputs, challenges, lessons learned and cooperation processes with the EU member states in the projects they implemented.
