The opening ceremony of the “Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for Six Basins” project was held
The opening ceremony of the “Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for Six Basins” project financed under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) 2014-2020 period Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, on January 21, 2022 in Ankara.
Stating that within the scope of the project, River Basin Management Plans will be prepared for 6 Basins in Turkey, Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı emphasized the importance of project’s contribution to the fulfillment of closing benchmarks of Environment and Climate Action Chapter.
The event in which Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Akif Özkaldı and Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut made opening speeches, completed with the project introduction presentation and a panel session.
