“IPA Experience Sharing Seminar” launched by participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı addressed the “IPA Experience Sharing Seminar” organised within the scope of the “Result Oriented Monitoring (ROM) in Turkey Phase III” project, on 19 January 2022.
In his speech, Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı, underlining contribution of projects implemented under Turkey-EU financial cooperation to Turkey’s alignment with the EU accession process, stated that the monitoring system established through the ROM project in alignment with the relevant EU norms has been in use for more than a decade and added that this new system has also brought a completely new understanding to effective and efficient utilisation of EU funds.
Directorate for EU Affairs is the beneficiary of the “Result Oriented Monitoring (ROM) in Turkey Phase III” project, which commenced in January 2019. Within the scope of the project, completed projects from IPA I (2017-2013) period and ongoing projects from IPA II (2014-2020) period have been monitored based on the requirements of ROM methodology. In total, around 200 ROM visits have been organised and recommendations developed with a view to improving the implementation and ensuring the sustainability of the projects have been shared
In the “IPA Experience Sharing Seminar” to be organised on 19-20 January 2022, the achievements of IPA projects, experienced difficulties, future collaboration opportunities and lessons learnt will be discussed through panel discussions.
