Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik made a statement regarding the 98th anniversary of the establishment of the Anadolu Agency
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik made a statement regarding the 98th anniversary of the establishment Anadolu Agency (AA).
Indicating that that it was very important that the AA had been established nearly one century earlier, Minister Ömer Çelik said that the agency allowed the voice of Türkiye to be heard all over the world. Stating that the AA had gone through major changes in the recent years, Minister Ömer Çelik said:
“The AA is a very important news agency that not only reports the news but also assumes the responsibility to fulfil the multi-dimensional and often dangerous task of following up on and reminding us of the people and places forgotten. While serving as a means for us to see, hear and speak, the AA also acts as a bridge between us and various other regions.”
Indicating that the AA had become a very important instrument for implementing “soft power” diplomacy by Türkiye, Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik said that he hoped that the AA would continue its achievements in the future.
