Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik Evaluated the Agenda
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik evaluated the agenda during his interview with CNN Türk.
Minister Çelik, who spoke about the claims that Türkiye’s will for the reforms in the framework of the Türkiye’s EU accession had decreased and weakened, said that it was clear that Türkiye continued its will for the reforms.
Noting that Türkiye was most criticised on issues such as the freedom of press, freedom of expression, justice and fundamental rights, Minister Çelik said: “We do not avoid discussing these matters. We do not avoid facing these issues. That is why we say that we should open Chapters 23 and 24.”
