Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s Visit to Brussels
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will visit Brussels on 3-4 December 2015 to meet with his counterparts in the European Commission and the European Parliament.
During his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will meet with Frans Timmermans, First Vice President of the European Commission for Better Regulation, Inter-institutional Relations, the Rule of Law and the Charter of Fundamental Rights; Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations; Miguel Arias Canete, European Commissioner for Energy and Climate Action; Phil Hogan, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development; and Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport.
Minister Bozkır will also meet with Elmar Brok, Chair of the European Parliament (EP) Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) in Brussels.
In Minister Bozkır's first contacts with the European Commission and the European Parliament following the Türkiye-EU Summit held on 29 November 2015 in Brussels, current state of play in Türkiye's EU accession negotiations and all aspects of Türkiye-EU relations will be addressed in the light of the conclusions of the Summit.
