Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s Visit to Madrid

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will pay an official visit to Madrid on 27-28 January 2015.

During his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will meet with the President of the Spanish Senate Pio Garcia-Escudero, and with the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo at a working luncheon on 27 January 2015.

On 28 January 2015, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will address Spanish businessmen at the Confederation of Employers and Industries in Spain (CEOE), and will attend a working luncheon at the Elcano Royal Institute, one of the leading think-tanks of Spain, and address academics, businessmen and high-level officials. During his visit to Madrid, Minister Bozkır will also give interviews to the Spanish press.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will also attend a dinner at the Turkish Embassy in Madrid and meet with Spanish politicians, civil servants, representatives of civil society and businessmen.

During his visit to Madrid, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will exchange views on Türkiye-EU relations with a focus on Türkiye's EU accession process as well as on bilateral relations between Türkiye and Spain.
