Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik received Head of EU Delegation to Türkiye Ambassador Christian Berger

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik received Ambassador Christian Berger, Head of EU Delegation to Türkiye, who took office on 1st November 2016.

Recent developments in Türkiye-EU relations and the role of the EU Delegation to Türkiye in this context were argued during the meeting.

Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik indicated that the EU Delegation to Türkiye undertakes great duties in order to move Türkiye-EU relations forward and to overcome the damages, which inhibit Türkiye-EU relations, such as European Parliament’s last resolution. Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik also underlined the importance of reporting recent developments in Türkiye in a true manner.
