Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will visit Bratislava on 2-3 September 2016 to participate in the Informal Meeting of EU Foreign Affairs Ministers (GYMNICH)

On 2-3 September 2016, Minister for European Union Affairs (EU) and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will visit Bratislava, Slovakia, which holds the EU presidency, to participate in the Informal Meeting of EU Foreign Affairs Ministers (Gymnich).

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will attend a dinner to be held for EU Member States and candidate countries by the Slovakian EU Presidency on 2 September, and on the morning of 3 September he will meet with the Foreign Affairs Ministers of EU Member States in a working breakfast in the special session on "Türkiye". 

Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will attend the session on "Fight against Terrorism and the Prevention of Radicalisation", in which all EU Member States and candidate countries will participate.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will also meet separately with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the EU Commission Federica Mogherini and EU Commissioner for EU Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will exchange views with his counterparts on the 15 July coup attempt, measures taken against FETÖ terrorist organisation, fight against terrorism, Türkiye-EU relations, migration crisis and visa liberalisation process, during and in the margins of the Gymnich Meeting.
