Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will pay an official visit to Finland

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will pay a visit to Finland on 22-24 March 2016 to hold official talks.

Minister Bozkır will meet with Timo Soini, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland and attend the working luncheon to be hosted by Minister Soini, followed by a joint press conference.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will also meet with Kare Halonen, State Secretary for EU Affairs and with members of the Grand Committee in charge of EU Affairs of the Finnish Parliament.

Minister Bozkır will also attend an event to be hosted by the Turkish Embassy in Helsinki with the participation of Turkish citizens on the occasions of "the Anniversary of the Adoption of Turkish National Anthem and Remembrance Day for Mehmet Akif Ersoy" and "18 March Matyrs Day". Minister Bozkır will deliver a speech at the event.

Minister Bozkır will also come together with Helsinki branch of Union of European Turkish Democrats (UETD) and meet with the members of Finnish press.

During Minister Bozkır's visit to Helsinki, bilateral relations, Türkiye-EU relations, progress in Türkiye's EU accession negotiations, migration management and fight against terrorism will be discussed with Finnish counterparts.
