Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s Visit to Brussels

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will visit Brussels on 14 December 2015 to attend the 11th meeting of the Türkiye-EU Intergovernmental Accession Conference and for official meetings with his counterparts.

During his visit, Minister Bozkır will attend the 11th meeting of the Türkiye-EU Intergovernmental Accession Conference where Chapter-17 Economic and Monetary Policy will be opened to negotiations in Türkiye's EU accession negotiations.

Minister Bozkır will also meet with Jyrki Katainen, Vice President of the European Commission for Jobs, Growth, Investments and Competitiveness and Margrethe Vestager, European Commissioner for Competition.

In Brussels, Minister Bozkır will also attend the working dinner hosted by Bert Koenders, Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, next term President of the European Union, along with Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

In Minister Bozkır's contacts with his counterparts, current state of play in Türkiye's EU accession negotiations and all aspects of Türkiye-EU relations will be addressed in the light of the conclusions of the Türkiye-EU Summit held on 29 November 2015 in Brussels.
