Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır's visit to Strasbourg and Brussels

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will pay a visit to Strasbourg to attend the fast breaking (iftar) dinner to be hosted by the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists (AECR) at the European Parliament on 7 July 2015.

Minister Bozkır will also meet with Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Kati Piri, rapporteur for Türkiye of the European Parliament and Elmar Brok, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Minister Bozkır will participate in the Commemoration Ceremony of Srebrenica Genocide to be held at the European Parliament. It is also envisaged that Minister Bozkır will have a meeting with Sheikh Khalid Bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, Foreign Minister of Qatar who will be in Strasbourg on the occasion of the iftar dinner programme of AECR.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will then move from Strasbourg to Brussels to have meetings with Vera Jourova, EU Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality and Christos Stylianides, EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid & Crisis Management.

Minister Bozkır will also attend the iftar dinner in Brussels to be hosted by AK Party Brussels Office with the participation of civil society representatives from European countries.

At Minister Bozkır's contacts in Strasbourg and Brussels, there will be exchange of views with high level counterparts from the European Parliament and the European Commission. on Türkiye's EU membership process, Türkiye-EU relations and humanitarian impacts of the Syrian crisis.
