Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s Visit to Washington, DC

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will pay a visit to Washington, DC on 3-6 February 2015 to attend the “National Prayer Breakfast” which has been organized each year by the US Congressmen with participation of the U.S. President since 1953.

In addition to this occasion which U.S. President Barack Obama and high level officials from other countries will attend, Minister Bozkır will have official meetings with the U.S. Administration and Congress in order to discuss the potential impacts of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement on Türkiye. 

Minister Bozkır will also deliver a speech at the German Marshal Fund, one of the leading U.S. think tanks, on the potential impacts of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement on Türkiye and on the Türkiye-EU Customs Union. 

During his visit to Washington, DC, Minister Bozkır will also attend a reception to be held at the Turkish Embassy in Washington, DC with participation of Turkish students and academics.
