Press Conference by Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır on the Action Plan for Strengthening the Capacity for EU-related Activities at the Local Level
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will announce “The Action Plan for Strengthening the Capacity for EU Related Activities at the Local Level” through a press conference to be held on Tuesday 23 December, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
“The Action Plan for Strengthening the Capacity for EU Related Activities at the Local Level”, developed within the framework of Türkiye's New European Union Strategy, will ensure that EU activities, in which the Ministry for EU Affairs and the other relevant institutions are engaged at the local level, are performed in a more systematic and sustainable manner.
The Action Plan will pave the way for a more effective performance of the work at the local level envisaged in Türkiye's New European Union Strategy and the new Communication Strategy, and for institutional capacity building required in this framework. In addition, the other significant objectives of this plan are enhancing coordination between institutions which need to engage in intensive cooperation at the local level and improving the local-level capacity for EU affairs.
"The Action Plan for Strengthening the Capacity for EU Related Activities at the Local Level", which is virtually a roadmap, is planned to be implemented as of January 2015 in cooperation with all stakeholders.
