Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Ambassador Volkan Bozkır's visit to Oslo

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will pay a visit to Oslo on 4-6 November 2014.

During his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will meet with Norwegian Minister for European Economic Area and EU Affairs, Vidar Helgesen on 5 November 2014 and attend the working luncheon given in his honour by Minister Helgesen. The two Ministers will also attend a joint press conference.

Together with Minister Helgesen, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will attend and deliver a speech at a round table meeting to be organized by the "Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI)”. Following the meeting at NUPI, the two Ministers will visit the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs and Turkish enterprises in Oslo. The two Ministers will also attend the dinner to be given in their honour by the Norwegian-Turkish Employers Association and the Norwegian-Turkish Trade Association.

During his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will meet with Børge Brende, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs on 6 November 2014; Lars Jacob Hiim, Norwegian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade on 4 November 2014; Svein Roald Hansen, the Chair of the EFTA (European Free Trade Area) - EEA ( European Economic Area) Parliamentary Committee and the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament along with the Committee members, and Anniken Huitfeldt, the Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence as well as the Committee members at the Norwegian Parliament on 5 November 2014.

During his visit to Oslo, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will exchange views with his Norwegian counterparts particularly on Türkiye-EU relations and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement as well as bilateral relations between Türkiye and Norway.
