Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır's Visit to Brussels

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will visit Brussels on 15-18 October 2014.

In Brussels, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will hold a press conference to announce “Türkiye’s New EU Communication Strategy” to the public at 16.00 on 16 October 2014 at the Permanent Delegation of Türkiye to the European Union.
 
During his visit to Brussels, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will meet with Stefan Füle, Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy; Cecilia Malmström, European Commissioner for Home Affairs and Commissioner-designate for Trade; Elmar Brok, Chairman of Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament; Kati Piri, Member of the European Parliament and EP Rapporteur on Türkiye; Artis Pabriks, Co-Chairman of the European Parliament's Friends of Türkiye Group; Manolis Kefalogiannis, Co-Chairman of the Türkiye-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee; Manfred Weber, Chairman of the Group of the European People's Party (EPP) and Guy Verhofstadt, Chairman of the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE).

In Brussels, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will also speak at the session of the Committee on Foreign Affairs  of the European Parliament and exchange views with the  Committee members.

Minister Bozkır will deliver a speech at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.  

During his visit, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır will exchange views on Türkiye-EU relations, with particular reference to Türkiye’s EU accession negotiations, the visa liberalization process and the European Commission’s 2014 Türkiye Progress Report.
