Deputy Minister Mr. Alaattin Büyükkaya Attended the Opening Confrence of MARİNE Project
Deputy Minister for EU Affairs Dr. Mr. Alaattin BÜYÜKKAYA attended opening Conference of the Maritime Network Of Education for the Development of the Maritime Culture In The Black Sea Basin project that is being implemented under the second call for proposals of the ENPI Cross Border Cooperation at the Black Sea Basin Programme for which this Ministry acts as the National Authority. The event took place on May 10, 2013 in the Piri Reis University’s conference hall.
In his speech, Deputy Minister Dr. BÜYÜKKAYA pointed out that since the Programme helps strengthening cooperation between non-governmental organizations and local authorities, ENPI Cross Border Cooperation at the Black Sea Basin Programme is of great importance despite its limited budget. Furthermore, Deputy Minister stated that the Programme will continue to be implemented during 2014- 2020 budget period with higher grant support from both the EU and the Ministry.
Conference continued with the speech of Metin Ataç, former Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces, representatives of the Chamber of Shipping, project partner institutions from Romanian “Mircea Cel Batran” Naval Academy , Odessa National Maritime Academy of Ukraine and Technical University of Moldova.
