Announcement to the Beneficiaries of Bulgaria – Türkiye IPA Cross Border Programme
Questions concerning the salaries of project staff are frequently directed to our Ministry right after the inception of the projects under the Bulgaria – Türkiye IPA Cross Border Programme. Obviously there is a need to make a general statement as an answer to these questions.
It is a requirement of the national legislation that the gross salaries forseen in the project budget should not be lower than the legal minimum for the gross wages. The owners of projects for which the salaries of the staff are stated below the legal minimum wage asks whether it would be suitable to send a request to the Management Authority for changing the full-time personel to part-time.
Since this obvious solution may adversly effect the project results and outcomes, our Ministry is going to make an evaluation with the Managing Authority on the subject. The beneficiaries will be informed about the outcome of this evaluation. For this reason, it is required not to take further actions until an instructive e-mail will be sent by our Ministy.
