1st International GANETU Forum Was Held in Istanbul

Within the scope of 47th General Assembly of Spanish Orientalists Association, held in İstanbul between 9 and 12 October 2010, The 1st International GANETU (Support Group for Türkiye's Negotiations to the EU) Forum was organized.

GANETU is a civil society platform established with the aim of supporting Türkiye's full membership to the EU. The group is composed of Turkish, Spanish and European intellectuals who have diverse professional backgrounds. Beyond all political, economic and technical issues, GANETU perceives Türkiye's accession to the EU as a part of a "Civilization Project" which will contribute to realization of regional stability and peace.
