Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik’s visit to Berlin
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik paid a visit to Berlin on 14-15 December for meetings with his German counterparts and to attend Türkiye-EU civil society meetings organized by the Ministry for EU Affairs.
In Berlin, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik attended and delivered a speech at a breakfast meeting organized by Körber Foundation. Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik met with Minister of State for Europe Michael Roth at a working luncheon and Minister of State and Federal Government Commissioner for Migrants, Refugees and Integration Aydan Özoğuz.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik also attended a working breakfast with Federal Minister for Special Tasks and Head of the Federal Chancellery Peter Altmaier.
Recent developments in Türkiye-EU relations, fight against terrorism, visa liberalization process, migration crisis, Türkiye-Germany relations and bilateral cooperation opportunities was on the agenda of Minister Çelik’s meetings in Berlin.
Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik also attended the opening of Türkiye-EU civil society meetings with the participation of representatives from Türkiye and Germany.
