Türkiye-EU High Level Political Dialogue Meeting held in Brussels
Türkiye-EU High Level Political Dialogue Meeting was held on 25 July 2017 in Brussels with the participation of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Johannes Hahn.
At the meeting, the current state of play in Türkiye's EU accession negotiations, migration crisis, visa liberalisation dialogue, update of Customs Union and cooperation in the areas of economy, energy and trade were discussed. Both sides exchanged views on regional and international issues as well.
In the Türkiye-EU High Level Political Dialogue Meeting, it is reiterated that strengthening the cooperation and dialogue benefit both sides. Türkiye and the EU underlined their commitment to advancing together the widespread spectrum of their actual agenda to achieve concrete results.
