Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik’s Visited Rome
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik concluded his official visit to Rome on 21-23 June 2016.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Paolo Gentiloni in Rome and held a joint press conference.
In Rome, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik also met with Secretary of State for European Affairs Sandro Gozi, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Senate Pier Ferdinando Casini, Chairman of the Committee on EU Policies Vannino Chiti and Chairman of Committee on European Affairs of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Michele Bordo.
Minister Celik also gave interviews to Italian TV channels Rai3 and Rai1 as well as to La Stampa.
During his visit to Rome, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik exchanged views on Turkish-Italian and Türkiye-EU relations, migration management, visa liberalisation dialogue and fight against terrorism.
